How Our Okinawan Kimono Experience Works
Here's what to expect from reservation to return during your Okinawan Kimono experience.
01. Reservation
Please submit your preferred plan, number of participants, and preferred dates through our reservation form.
If you would like professional photography or hair styling, please let us know when making your inquiry. Payment is accepted either in advance online or on the day of your visit by cash or credit card.
⚠️ Your reservation is not confirmed at this stage.
We will check availability and send you a reservation confirmation email within 24 hours. If you do not receive our email, please check your spam/junk folder.
02. Arrival
Please arrive at OKINAWA KIMONO家 at your scheduled reservation time.
If you have trouble finding us, feel free to contact us.
03. Check-In
We will confirm the name of the reservation holder upon arrival.
A photo ID (passport, driver's license, military ID, student ID, etc.) may be requested for identification.
Lockers are available for personal belongings.
04. Dressing (Approx. 30–45 minutes per group)
Dressing typically takes about 15 minutes per person.
For larger families and groups, we arrange additional staff whenever possible to help everyone get ready smoothly.
Please allow a little extra time if your group includes young children, seniors, or special requests.
Rental time begins once dressing is complete.
05. Departure & Exploration
Once dressed, you're free to enjoy the traditional village of Kitanakagusuku and nearby photo spots.
If you're unsure where to go, our staff can recommend locations based on your group, schedule, and rental plan.
Families with young children are welcome, and we'll do our best to make the experience comfortable for everyone.
Enjoy Okinawa at your own pace in traditional Ryuso attire.
06. Return
At the end of your rental period, please return to the store to change and return your rental items.
Our staff will assist you with the return process.

Professional Photography Plan
Capture your Okinawa memories with a professional photographer.
Our photography partners specialize in Ryuso portraits, family photos, couples, anniversaries, graduation photos, and other special occasions.
Photography Fees

1 hour: from ¥25,000

2 hours: from ¥35,000

3 hours: from ¥43,000
Ryuso rental fees are not included.

Photography at Nakamura House
When using a professional photographer at Nakamura House, an additional fee applies.
• Admission fee: ¥500
• Photography fee: ¥1,000
Total: ¥1,500 per photographer
The same fee applies when bringing your own professional photographer.
Photography Guidelines
Personal photos taken by family members or friends are welcome and do not require additional fees.
Professional, commercial, portfolio, or paid photography is subject to Nakamura House regulations and location fees.
Rental Terms & Conditions
Please review carefully before making a reservation.

To provide a private and carefully curated experience, we require a minimum charge of ¥16,500 (tax included) per reservation slot.

What to Wear or Bring on the Day
- For female guests: an inner layer (tank top or camisole)
- For male guests: shorts to wear underneath

An additional rental fee of ¥3,300 (tax included) per outfit applies for each additional hour.

If you wish to rent for more than 3 hours, please contact us in advance.

Returns after business hours are not accepted.

Rental items not returned by the following day without prior notice will be treated as lost, and a replacement fee of ¥110,000 (tax included) per outfit will be charged.

If you expect to be late due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate your situation.
Arrival on the Day of Your Reservation

If you arrive after your scheduled reservation time, your rental duration may be shortened.
No partial refunds will be provided. -
If we are unable to contact you within 15 minutes after your reservation time, your booking will be automatically canceled and a cancellation fee will apply.

If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible.

As we operate by private appointment, if you arrive before your scheduled time while another guest is being served, you may be asked to wait in your vehicle.
We kindly ask that you arrive at your reserved time.
For Advance Payments

If you cancel after completing an advance payment, a ¥1,000 processing fee will be deducted from your refund to cover payment and refund processing costs.
Other

Reservations may be canceled due to severe weather.
If cancellation becomes necessary, we will contact you by email or phone by 4:00 PM on the day before your reservation.

For safety reasons, guests who are pregnant are kindly asked not to participate.

We are not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.

Changes to Your Reservation
If you wish to change your reservation date, time, number of guests, or reservation details, please contact us in advance.
Cancellation Fees
Weather-Friendly Cancellation Policy (May–September)
To help you book with confidence during Okinawa's changing weather season:

Changes or cancellations made by 5:00 PM (JST) on the day before your reservation: Free of charge

Changes or cancellations made after 5:00 PM (JST) on the day before your reservation, or on the reservation day: 100% cancellation fee
Changes in Number of Guests

Any reduction in the number of guests on the day of your reservation will be treated as a cancellation, and the full fee for the absent guests will be charged.
No-Shows

If you fail to arrive without prior notice, the full fee will be charged.

If a cancellation fee applies, an invoice will be sent to you by email after your reservation. We kindly ask that payment be completed by the specified due date.

Ryuso Dressing & Rental Service
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the Ryuso dressing and rental services (the “Service”) provided by OKINAWA KIMONO家 (the “Store”).
By submitting a web reservation, inquiry form, or confirming a booking, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
1. Care of Rental Items
During the rental period, customers agree to handle all Ryuso garments and accessories provided by the Store with due care and responsibility.
2. Return and Late Fees
All rental items must be returned by the designated return date and time.
Late returns will incur additional charges in accordance with the Late Return Policy as outlined in the “Important Information” section.
3. Damage, Staining, or Loss
If any rental items are damaged, stained, or lost during the rental period, the customer may be responsible for repair costs, cleaning fees, or replacement costs as determined by the Store.
4. Photography and Consideration for the Neighborhood
Our studio is located in a quiet residential area. Customers are expected to be respectful of local residents when taking photographs or spending time outside the premises.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Store shall not be held liable for accidents, injuries, theft, or other incidents arising in connection with the use of the Service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Store.
6. Cancellations and Changes
Cancellations and reservation changes are subject to the separate Cancellation Policy.
7. Applicability
These Terms apply from the moment a web reservation or inquiry is submitted.
